Behind the Scenes: Newborn Safety

I thought today I would take you behind the scenes of one of my newborn sessions.

The reason I chose this one is because I want you to see how seriously I take newborn safety during my sessions.  You may have seen this pose before and thought, "Wow!  How did they get the baby to balance like that?"  Well, let me tell you, I hope and pray that no babies really are balancing and that the photographer used what is called a composite image.  (**Pleeeeeeease, I cannot stress this enough: Research your photographers before booking with them.  Make sure they are experienced with newborn babies and know how to safely handle different posing techniques!**)

A composite image is a series of images that when shot at the same distance and angle can be layered within Photoshop or another photo editing program to achieve the final look.

And here you have it!
