I mentioned before that I specialize in maternity, newborn and family portraiture so I wanted to go over what a typical session with me is like.
While most moms don't want this portion of their pregnancy documented, I love capturing the glow of mom-to-be. I also offer a little extra pampering should she choose to prep for her session with some sparkling grape juice, hair and makeup. Maternity sessions are typically an hour long and can either be in-studio or on-location.
Since every baby is different, I like to pencil in mom's due date and then have either her or someone assigned for her send me a text or an email once baby arrives. Newborn sessions are best done between 7-14 days after birth but mom and I will discuss when will be best for baby. I like to photograph newborns in the morning light in my studio as that is also when he/she is less fussy. I have plenty of props and blankets to choose from so all you need to bring is yourself and baby (and any siblings or sentimental props). All moms that book with me will also receive my FAQ sheet that will help prep for baby's close-up so you will be ready for everything on the day of.
I also offer milestone sessions such as sitting up, one year and birthdays thereafter. As part of my exclusive Baby Membership Program, the newborn, sitting up and one year sessions are included with your package along with special pricing and surprises along the way. This ensures you capture that first year of baby and are booked ahead of time so it's essentially worry-free! Cake smashes have become a very popular type of session in the last few years. I love seeing babies eat cake for the first time and it's all caught right on camera!
Every year around August through November families want those perfect fall/winter portraits taken for their annual holiday cards and to update their prints throughout their homes. These sessions are also perfect for ordering print and keepsake items for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family members! I offer full and mini sessions depending on time of year, number of family members in the photo and the type of look you're going for in your session.
Limited Mini Sessions:
Mini sessions are first-come, first-served and only offered on a limited basis. All subscribers to my newsletter get first pick to my mini sessions before the general public so make sure to sign up!
